Bausch & Lomb – Medium Voltage Infrastructure Upgrade

Works Completed include:

• Excavation and installation of circa 300m of medium voltage ducting in a live, healthcare manufacturing environment.
• To ensure that the operation of the facility was not adversely affected, the works were undertaken and completed over four separate phases.
• Removal of trees and fencing to facilitate to progress of the works. Reinstatement of landscaping and fencing upon completion of works.
• A large amount of trench excavation was via machine assist hand digging due to the volume of live services located in the ground.
• Installation of 125mm red ESB ducting with lean-mix concrete bed/surround and backfilled in SR21 material.
• Construction of seven concrete block drawpit chambers. Ducts sealed at entry points with ‘Nofirno’ cable duct seal system.
• Reinstatement of all asphalt and concrete surfacing upon completion of the works.
