- Rossmore Civils were appointed works contractor and PSCS by Alkermes Pharmaceutical to carry the construction of a new fire water retention pond and associated civils and infrastructure upgrades. Scope included:
- Site clearance and mulching of 6,500 m2
- Excavation of 6,500 m3 for new pond to specific grid plans to satisfy environmental requirements
- Handling of all arisings to suitable preselected waste facilities
- Installation of 3,000 m2 of 2.5mm HDPE liner to new pond
- Installation of 90M of 2 nr 500mm diameter butt fused pipework to link existing ponds to new pond
- Installation 200m of DN80mm pipework from new pumping station to outlet in existing ponds
- Installation an out-flow pump with all associated electrical & mechanical services, including installation of ducting and chambers along current ponds and in life pharmaceutical environment
- Erecting Handrails and fencing to new pond and contractors compound
- Remedial works to existing ponds which had to be carried out under strict LOTO and pond isolation time frame
